Double Dutch Challenge (Choose your favourite DD challenge!)

This week's challenge over at Double Dutch is to use one of our past challenges. I looked through all the challenges and was drawn to this sketch #10!
I decided to make a Christmas Card with this Sketch. Out came the Penguins! The paper is new from Imaginisce and it has some glitter already built into the stripes! The Penguins are from Impression Obsession (I just LOVE their Penguins!) I used the stars from SU! Wonderous Gift to create the background on the back square and the little green square is stamped with a mini tree stamp that came with the Impression Obsession Penguin Set. The sentiment is from A Muse stamps. I added some bling in the form of green rhinestones on the top right corner and used my SU! White grosgrain ribbon for the belly band of the card. This card measures 5"x10" on paper and folds to be 5"x5".

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you play along with the Double Dutch Challenges this week!

Lesley :)

Pile it On Challenge #12-Good Things Come in Threes!

This card was created for the Pile it O Challenge to use three "extras" on your card. I used three little brads at the bottom of the card and there are also three fishes swimming around the bear. Isn't this the most adorable image!

I coloured in the image with my copics and highlighted the images in B00 Frost Blue. I wanted to make this card very colourful!

The Challenges I used are:

Spoonful of Sugar-Travel Theme (This cute bear is really enjoying his vacation!)
Card Patterns Sketch #28
Gingersnap Creations-Colour Challenge #20-The Rainbow

Thanks for stopping by! Please check out the Challenge at Pile it On!

Christmas Cards and Pile it On!

I have begun my Christmas cards. I used the same layout with different colours and different stamp sets from SU! The mellow moss top note shape has an oval cut out of it and the shape is then laid over the stamped image, which is on an ivory top note shape. I cuttlebugged the "frame" with the woodgrain looking folder and then the card base is embossed with the snowflake folder. I am so happy with how these turned out!

These cards are for a couple of challenges:
Pile it On- No Pattern Paper
Stamp With Us- Christmas Cards
My Time to Craft- Christmas Cards

Thanks for stopping by!

Double Dutch Challenge (Pink, Brown and Cream) and Mojo#98-Love You

This 3x3 card box and 3x3 cards were made for the Double Dutch Challenge Blog. The theme this week is to use Pink, Brown and Cream on your project! I was so in love with the colours that I had to use them on my Mojo Submission. I hope you get the chance to play with the Double Dutch Challenge this week! This card was created for the Mojo Contest and for the Double Dutch Challenge to use Brown, Pink and Cream! The ribbon is the Brown Satin from SU! and I love the sheen of the ribbon, so I decided to make the mice a bit shiny too by adding glossy acccents to their "coats"! The mouse with the flower is cut out and popped up. I distressed the sides of the card and added some brown distressing ink too...making it a little dirty! I folded one top corner of the small centre square and adhered it with a pearl. There are also pearls on the sentiment.

This card is also being submitted to the Flourishes Challenge this week, to use metal on your card. I used a brad on my flowers...I sure hope that counts!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lesley :)

As soon as I saw the Colour Throwdown Colours I knew I had to make this card! Those cards are so cozy for a winter card!! I cut out the digital image and popped it up on dimensionals. The image is coloured with my SU! markers and the background snowflakes are from SU! Short and Sweet Greetings Set. The snowflakes are stamped in Basic Gray. The large snowflake image is from Penny Black, I also stamped a snowflake onto the envelope to make it match. I love this digital image...so adorable and easy to work with!

My Birthday

Today is my 34th Birthday! Whew! What a year...I spent the day with my sweetie and we test drove some new SUV's. We really need a new vehicle, something that has room for us both and for our puppy Cyrus the Wonder Dog!

We test drove the Ford Edge. What a fantastic crossover vehicle...drives so nicely and all the bells and whistles make it irresitable!

After we test drove some new cars, we went to a lovely little restaurant on the water, overlooking the ocean and had dinner with my parents and my sister and her fella. We had a fabulous time...good food, great view, tasty wine...after that Corey (DH) and I went to a movie. We saw "The Hangover". I knew nothing about this movie, but found it to be absolutely HILARIOUS! It is not for the mild or meek...some pretty crazy stuff happens but it is so absolutely surreal!

So that was my birthday! It was a perfect day!
